Description of practice
Ridge-furrow is an agronomic system to direct water to furrows, creating more favourable growing conditions. In perennial crops it also reduces runoff and soil erosion.

Furrow-enhanced runoff harvestingV-shaped furrows are constructed in a sloping orchard to harvest runoff. The furrows collect rainwater and supply the trees with extra water during a rain event. |

AserpiadoA tillage tool is used to create micro-depressions (asperias) along all or alternate inter-vines rows to enhance water infiltration, increase plant available water and decrease runoff and associated soil loss. |
